Role and Facility Information
Fraser Health is seeking a Geriatric Psychiatrist to provide care to a diverse patient population in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment. The position is a 1.0 FTE role based across multiple sites: Abbotsford Senior Clinic, Ridge Meadows Hospital, Eagle Ridge Hospital, Royal Columbian Hospital, and the Psychiatric Urgent Response Clinic (PURC).
Responsibilities
- Consult with Geriatric psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to provide assessment, outpatient treatment, and consultation for older adult patients, including those with acquired brain injuries.
- Engage in outreach to patients’ residences and collaborate with physicians in Assisted Living and Long‑Term Care facilities.
- Conduct family meetings, facilitate case conferences, plan discharges, and impart knowledge to geriatric psychiatry residents and medical students.
