Job Description
Wabun Tribal Council is seeking a dedicated and skilled Public Health Nurse to deliver community-based public health services to our First Nation communities: Brunswick House, Mattagami, Matachewan, Chapleau Ojibwe, and Beaver House . This role focuses on communicable disease control, prevention, and health promotion, while working in partnership with community health staff to improve overall wellness.
- Communicable Disease Control & Management:
- Implement prevention, investigation, follow‑up, and reporting of communicable diseases.
- Support outbreak management and case contact tracing in accordance with public health protocols.
- STBBI Program (Sexually Transmitted and Blood‑Borne Infections):
- Provide education, testing, and follow‑up care in collaboration with community health teams.
