Registered Nurse- In-Patient Surgical 3A- Temporary Full Time

3A is a 34 bed inpatient surgical unit. The surgical nurse is responsible for providing specialized care to patients before, during, and after surgery. They will manage pain, check vital signs, and address any complications that may arise during the post‑operative period.

Duties

• Provide nursing care in accordance with the College of Nurses, organizational and unit standards.
• Participate and collaborate with other health care providers in provision of patient care.
• Effectively use the Standards of Nursing Practice and the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Provide health teaching to patients and family.
• Comply with legislation, organizational/departmental policies, regulations, standards and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
