DEPARTMENT: EMERGENCY POSITION LOCATION: SOUTHAMPTON UNION AFFILIATION: OPSEU – SERVICE STATUS: CASUAL WAGE RATE: $34.943 - $35.967
Reporting to the Manager, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to provide patient care within their professional scope of practice while working in the Emergency department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ontario College of Nurses registration
- Current certification in or willingness to obtain:o BCLS
- Two (2) years recent acute care nursing experience
- Current understanding of the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scales (CTAS)
- Physical Assessment Course or equivalent
- CCU 1 or willingness to obtain in six (6) months
- Code White (CPI certification) or willingness to obtain
