The Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) works within their scope of professional practice in a team environment to collect samples and is responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic tests on patient specimens, for analysing and interpreting test results and preparing reports to assist in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
