Job Description
Summary As an Astrophysicist in the Space Science and Astrobiology Division of the Science Directorate at NASA Ames Research Center, you will lead pioneering studies that enable current and future discoveries of exoplanet atmospheres. The substellar atmosphere group develops and creates novel methodologies to model and interpret the atmospheres of exoplanets and brown dwarfs leveraging NASA flagship missions such as the James Webb, Roman Space Telescope, and upcoming Habitable Worlds Observatory. Responsibilities Conducts, coordinates, and leads the development of photochemical models to enable exoplanet and astrophysics research. Enables exoplanet research, creates novel methodologies, and leads scientific investigations that support NASA’s goal of characterizing and identifying biosignatures in the atmospheres of exoplanets.
