About the Position
The researcher will work on European security and defence policy, European defence industrial integration and transatlantic relations, mainly in the TABS project: “Towards Transatlantic Burden Shifting? Insights from US - Norway Defense Cooperation amidst diverging strategic priorities”. The project examines how European rearmament and increased defence effort may bind the US more closely to Europe.
There may also be intersecting tasks in related projects such as “Norge og rommet: Strategisk posisjonering, alliert samarbeid og eksponering” (NSpace) and “Changing transatlantic security relations: Implications for Europe and Norway” (TransatDefence). The position lasts one year, with no teaching obligations, and may be extended if funding allows. You will be provided with office space, equipment, and services, and resources for research fieldwork and conference travel.
