The Safety Advisor is responsible for supporting all RNZAF Base Ohakea workplace safety related matters. Advising on the day-to-day implementation of the workplace safety component of the NZDF Safety Management System and Service specific safety requirements. The purpose is to maximise operational effectiveness while ensuring legislative compliance and advocating for best practice.
As the Safety Advisor, you will also be responsible for the following:
* Actively promoting a proactive health and safety culture throughout the organisation;
* Assisting units to identify and evaluate hazards, and to control risks, including using appropriateinformation management systems;
* Recommending, developing, and implementing policy, strategies, and procedures necessary for health and safety legislative compliance across workplaces; and
* Conducting regular safety education programmes in liaison with the Directorate of Safety, Single Serv...
