**Description**
The Laboratory for Laser Energetics (LLE) is seeking candidates for the position of Scientist in the Omega Experiments Group to perform research and development of novel x-ray and/or nuclear diagnostics and to lead experiments in inertial confinement fusion (ICF), nuclear physics, and/or related high energy density physics (HEDP) experiments on the OMEGA, OMEGA EP, and future laser facilities that are currently in planning stages. Laser Direct Drive (LDD) implosions of DT cryogenic targets, LDD-relevant experiments using broad bandwidth laser drivers (e.g., Fourth generation Laser for Ultra-broad bandwidth eXperiments or FLUX), and laser-based nuclear physics experiments---key missions within the science-based Stockpile Stewardship Program (SSP) of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA)---are...
