POSITION: Secondary Special Education Teacher
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Director of Student Services
QUALIFICATIONS:
Hold a Michigan Teaching Certificate (may be granted temporary approval) or full approval in one or more areas of Special Education RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with general education staff to accommodate secondary (9-12) curriculum, as appropriate, for students with disabilitiesCoordinate paraprofessional supportFacilitate multidisciplinary evaluation team (MET) and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and perform all other case management dutiesDevelop and implement specially designed instruction and positive behavioral supports for caseload studentsDevelop and maintain an active parent/school communication programParticipate in all ...
