Annual salary ranges from $21,797 to $25,307, depending on experience and qualifications.
Position Overview
The Security Officer at SMHC is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of approximately 700 staff, 252 patients, families, and visitors in a 24‑hour, 252‑bed facility. The role is rotational and supports treatment and recovery services, interacting with patients, staff, the public, and management.
Main Function
Provide safety and security for staff, patients, and visitors at SMHC, augmenting treatment services to assist patients in recovery and community reintegration. The position demonstrates commitment to SMHC’s vision, values, and goals of patient safety, and works under direct supervision from the Manager of Security Services and the Security Shift Supervisor.
