Position Overview
The Senior DCS/PLC Specialist will be responsible for the provision of automation services to support assigned area and site-wide operational and maintenance business objectives. The role will also provide design/programming support for automation systems and ensures site obligations are met regarding health, safety, environmental protection and sustainable development.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary role is to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot and optimize PLC/DCS controls, interfaces, and communication throughout the concentrator and site.
- Assist with troubleshooting communication issues with various instruments and electronics throughout the site.
- DCS Programming, Hardware Tasks and PLC Programming tasks.
- Support operational and maintenance requests, plant modifications, and PI Process Book data as needed.
- Maintain PI tags on system as well as PLC and DCS tags.
