At the Department of Conservation, professionally oriented education and research are conducted with a focus on cultural heritage, landscapes and cultural environments, buildings, gardens, and objects. The Department has operations in two locations: Gothenburg and Mariestad. Object conservators and building antiquarians are educated in Gothenburg. In Mariestad, programmes are offered with a focus on building crafts, garden crafts, and landscape management.
