The IT recruitment team at Connectra is looking for an experienced Software Telecom Engineer, who would be interested in a long-term consulting engagement within the Edmonton region. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities in the area of software design and implementation, testing and support. The role requires the development of multiple customer specific applications which provide service routing network management functionality and integration into industry cloud management platforms (OpenStack, CloudStack and VMware vRO/vRA/vCD). The application will provide services which make use of the product functionality of the client VSP, 5620 SAM and 7×50 Service Routers. The candidate should have extensive experience in Java and web technologies, and implementation of applications using open source frameworks.
