About the Role Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced and ambitious journalist to lead a team of reporters covering the mining industry and metals markets across the Americas. This an important and fast-moving area of coverage, and one that's getting more front page attention than ever as it's increasingly intertwined with government policy globally. Whether it's reporting out and explaining moves in the gold market, breaking news on mining company mergers and investments in critical minerals, or chasing the latest impacts of trade tariffs, we're looking for someone who's comfortable moving across the spectrum of metals. The ideal candidate combines deep industry knowledge with sharp editorial judgment, strong management skills, and a track record of delivering exclusive, market-moving stories.
