Primary Purpose
The Undergraduate Recruitment Specialist (URS) in the Marketing and Undergraduate Recruitment (MUR) unit of the Registrar’s Office (RO) communicates with prospective students, families, and school officials about admission policies, programs, co-op, and university life to guide decisions about post-secondary education and support UWaterloo’s enrolment goals.
Key Accountabilities
- Travel throughout Ontario to present UWaterloo’s strengths, give presentations, and provide complete and accurate information about programs, co-op, admissions, and university life.
- Represent UWaterloo at off-campus recruitment events, including post-secondary fairs, sponsored events, and presentations for younger audiences.
- Visit and/or connect virtually with secondary schools, delivering presentations, holding small-group counseling sessions, and meeting with school personnel.
