About the Role

Peabody is seeking a technically strong Underground Gas Modelling Engineer to support our underground coal operations across Australia and the United States. This role is centred on coal seam gas (CSG) modelling, gas drainage design, and methane management, providing critical inputs into safe mine design, operational performance, and Life of Mine planning.

The position has a primary focus on gas reservoir modelling and drainage optimisation within underground coal environments. Experience in underground ventilation modelling is considered advantageous but not essential.

Given the specialised nature of this capability, we are also open to candidates from research or academic backgrounds who bring advanced modelling expertise and the ability to translate theory into practical mining outcomes.
