Responsibilities
The Compliance Department at Société Générale oversees adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across the firm’s banking and financial activities. It manages non‑compliance and reputational risks by acting as a second line of defense, supporting the business through risk assessment, advisory services, monitoring, training, and the implementation of robust compliance frameworks, while fostering a strong culture of compliance across the Group.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Act as an advisor to front office and other business line staff in relation to firm policy and relevant regulations
- Oversee client due diligence processes for new and existing clients
- Monitor client activity for AML purposes and elevate suspicious activity to management
