Volunteer Refugee Buddies (English speaking)

Humanitas Groningen provides social support to refugees with residence permits who move to Groningen from an asylum seekers' center (AZC). Through individual support from a buddy, we assist refugees in building a social network in the city of Groningen, fostering a sense of belonging and connection. We are currently looking for several:

Volunteer Refugee Buddies

The Role:

• You will be paired with a refugee for a minimum period of 3 months.


• You will help in building a social network.

What We Ask:

• You are interested in and respectful of other lifestyles.


• You are empathetic.


• You can motivate people.


• You are willing to commit at least 2 hours per week (on a weekend or weekday, as you prefer).


• You are available for at least 3 months.
