Intermediate Wildlife Biologist – responsible for delivering high-quality field data collection and supporting a variety of survey types including nest sweeps, wildlife sweeps, amphibian capture and relocation, and species at risk assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and support wildlife field activities such as nest sweeps, wildlife sweeps, amphibian capture and relocation, species at risk surveys and habitat assessments, breeding bird surveys, and deployment of monitoring equipment.
  • Prepare safety plans, maps, access routes, equipment lists, permits and approvals; coordinate travel, accommodations and equipment readiness.
  • Collect accurate digital data using GPS/GIS enabled forms; complete QA/QC and initial interpretation of results.
  • Provide timely updates to team members, project managers, clients and regulators; write technical report sections and prepare figures.
